RAMONA PORTELLI from okmalta.com interviewed German DJ/producer and front man for SASH! Team – Sascha Lappessen.  Along with Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas ‘Alisson’ Ludke, Sascha works in their recording studio.  They have sold over 22 million albums worldwide.

41 years old, Sascha Lappessen lives in Nettetal, Germany, and is married to Maria.

Describe yourself in your own words
A lucky person in this world.

Together with Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas ‘Alisson’ Ludke you form the group – SASH!.  Best known for European club hits – ‘It’s my life’, ‘Encore Une Fois’, ‘Ecuador’, ‘Stay’, ‘Adelante’ and ‘Mysterious Times’ amongst many more.  Do you still play these songs together, or you’re just focusing on new releases?
Of course I still play all the old hits - that is what people like to hear when I am in venues and events.

So far you sold over 22 million albums worldwide.  What are you comments?
Again, I have to say that I am lucky and happy that so many people did by SASH! Records.  But as well, it was hard work to get all the tracks together and that they sound as good as they are.

Any tours in the coming months?
I am always on tour.

What kind of music do you play?
The best dance hits from the last 15 years and the sound of the moment - but all happy vibing.

Have you ever kissed someone of your same sex?
No.

Have you ever lied to your partner or your ex?
Of course… ?

What is your opinion about same-sex marriages?
Why not……

What was your greatest dream?
Cannot tell you.  I am still in that dream !

How do you relax and get away from it all?
Just going home to my own bed and watch television.

What sort of films do you watch?
Action films.

Love. Sex. Money. From these, with what do you think you can survive life?
Need to be a bit of everything.

Have you ever heard something about my country island – Malta?
Yes, and I was already often there!! [Recently Sash! has been at Stitch Club, Malta. This was way back in 24 April, 2010. He will be back in Malta playing again on the 12 May, 2012]

In Malta, smoking has just been banned in open-air playgrounds. What are your comments and views regards this law?
I am not smoking and for me it does’nt really matter what is going on with these laws.

What’s your sense of style and what do you wear on a daily basis?`
Nothing special.

What does your most ideal day consist of?
Sleeping 24 hours ?

What are your hopes, dreams and fears for the future?
I hope I still can make some more songs what millions of people like to hear.
