Mellieħa Nights 2018: A Grand Celebration of Culture, History, Music and Tradition being held on the27, 28 and 29 July 2018

Mellieħa Nights 2018 celebrations start on Friday, 27th July 2018 from 7.30pm onwards at Mellieħa Parish Square with dance performances by Agia Napa Traditional Dancers, musical performances by local singers and an amazing live concert by Spiteri Lucas Band playing a vast selection of songs from Abba, Beatles and Tina Turner repertoires featuring prominent Maltese Singers Neville Refalo, Debbie Scerri, Olivia Lewis and Richard Edward and accompanied by Dancel Dance Studio. ‘Waves Trip’ by DJ Max will follow.

 

Mellieħa Nights 2018 celebrations continue on Saturday, 28th July 2018 from 7.30pm onwards at:

Mellieħa Parish Square with a Medieval Re-enactment Session by Project Lazzarus, followed by a mini live concert by Ro Ho – Trio – Hocheifel from Adenau, Germany, musical performances by local singers and a spectacular live concert by Paul Abela Band performing an extensive selection of the well known and legendary Maltese Songs featuring established local singers Georgina, Roger Tirazona, Louisana Bartolo and Renato and accompanied by Paul Curmi Dancers. A Stand-Up Comedy by Joe (id-Dulli) and Veronica Farrugia will follow. The Mellieħa Fireworks Association will be hosting a barbecue dinner for those who wish to appreciate the entertainment while enjoying the lavish food provided.

Along Triq Gorg Borg Olivier a carnival parade themed ‘The Mellieħa Summer Carnival Parade’ with the participation of 13 dance companies, Big Friends Guggen Musik Band and Sambrazilian Band. Live performance by Duo Breezes will follow.

At Misraħ iż-Żjara tal-Papa Ġwanni Pawlu II Kids’ Entertainment and Animation Area including puppets shows, sing-a-long songs, magical slots by Future Voices Children’s Choir, Artemocion Dance Studio, Phyllisienne Brincat Children’s Choir and Listen to Our Voices Children’s Choir.

 

At Sanctuary Courtyard an artistic and local handicrafts exhibition

At the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mellieħa vocal concert by ‘Vuċijiet Vittorjani’ from Societa’ Filarmonica La Vittoria. A vocal concert by the ‘Imperial Choir’ from Għaqda Mużikali Imperial will follow.

Park and Ride Service from 7.30pm onwards from ex-Belleview Area.

Mellieħa Nights 2018 continue on Sunday, 29th July 2018 from 7.30pm onwards:

At Misraħ il-Parroċċa with Medieval Re-enactment Sessions by Fratres in Armis Re-enactment Group, musical performances by local singers and Live Jazz Music Concert by Groove. A concert not to be missed by Maltese leading violinist George Curmi (il-Puse) and his Band with the participation of Eurovision Song Contest 2018 Maltese Ambassador Christabelle Borg.

At 11.00pm Grand Finale: Pyro-Musical Display with the collaboration of Mellieħa Fireworks Association.
